Farts and Bloating....what to do?

Bodybuilders dark little secret is that gas can sometimes be a problem due to high levels of protein intake and the large volume of food we eat.



What to do?



There are two approaches to consider:



1) Enzymes to help aid in the digestive process

2) Chemicals to help prevent gaseous buildup.



I have been taking simethicone with my meal here of late, and it does seem to help. I've found that taking 1 cap an hour prior, three during, and another shortly after a meal, for me, helps reduce most of the gas. Each cap is 125mg. I will be experimenting with higher doses to see how much it takes to completely eliminate the gas. My concern is that the amounts I'm taking far exceed the recommended dose. I looked up what the sides are from excessive consumption, and I'm really not seeing anything that concerns me. So I'm going to be jumping up to higher doses and see what happens. In all, I could be taking upwards of 15 or 20 caps/day. I just ordered a thousand caps of 80mg ea for something like $25, so I should be good for awhile.



Additionally, I just ordered a pound each of papaya powder and bromalain powder. Both are digestive enzymes that improve the body's ability to digest protein. I'm going to experiment by putting amounts of this powder in my liquid egg white blender meals, as I think all the egg is finally starting to affect me.



If I find anything that works, I'll let you know.



But right now, it smells like something dead crawled up inside of me!?
