steroids and sperm count

Just wondering if anyone knows if a lighter cycle lowers sperm count long term? I'm 43 and my younger wife is wanting to try for a baby next year, I'm wanting to do a light cycle of test prop for 6-8 weeks, with a pct of nova and hcg. I've done the cycle a few times with decent results. I know it drops count for a while just not sure for how long
