Labmax vs. Product authentication code.

I got some Alpha Pharma test and the code checked good. I still plan on buying a Labmax. But I'm kinda wondering whats the point of checking with a Labmax if the code checks out? The code says it's good and let's say the Labmax says it's good. But neither one will tell me how good. Opinions?
