Short Achilles tendon

So I was born during the 5th month of pregnancy and weighed 1 pound and 9 ounces. Either way I was born with A short Achilles tendon. Due to that My squat is pretty much non existent I usually would just put weights under my heels when I squat but lately it hurts my feet and I have decided that I want to fix the problem instead of using the weights as a crutch. I just don't know where to start I really wanna increase my mobility in my ankle and tendon enough to where I can squat normally without assistance what would you guys recommend??
