Bringing 90 Day Supply into the states

I read an old thread of someone that claimed a 90 day supply of test at customs. I read up on it a little and US Customs says you can bring in a 90 supply of pharmaceuticals without a prescription. I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this.
